Whatever you’re working on this week - music, writing, planning, take a moment to check in with your body before you begin.
Your nervous system state shapes your process more than your intentions do.
Try this:
Inhale slowly through your nose.
Pause briefly, then take a second short sip of air in through the nose.
Exhale slowly and fully through the mouth.
Repeat 1–3 times.
Notice any changes in your breath, posture, or internal state — or simply notice what stays the same.
This breathing pattern helps release excess carbon dioxide and supports a shift out of high activation.
