SOMATIC NERVOUS SYSTEM COACHING©

For Artists & Creatives

Our nervous system is the foundation of how we experience life, create, and connect.
It shapes how safe we feel in our body, how we relate to others, and how freely energy and expression can move.

When stress, overwhelm, or past experiences remain held in the system, the body may stay in patterns of protection, even long after the original situation has passed.

This can show up as tension, fatigue, anxiety, emotional numbness, creative blocks, or a sense of disconnection from oneself.

Somatic Nervous System Therapy© offers a body-led space to listen to what is being held, and to support a gradual return toward regulation, safety, and vitality.

Rather than fixing or forcing change, we work with what is present in the moment, sensation, breath, movement, and subtle nervous system signals, always guided by your pace and capacity.

A body-led approach

In these sessions, we work with present-moment experience rather than stories or analysis.

We follow the language of the body, sensation, breath, subtle movement, impulses, and nervous system signals, always guided by your pace and capacity.

I guide the process by creating the conditions for the nervous system to respond in its own time. Nothing is forced. Nothing is expected to happen. What arises is met moment by moment.

Your body leads.
I support the process.

Wat happens in a session?

Each session is unique.

We begin by orienting and grounding, creating a sense of safety and connection in the body.

From there, the session unfolds based on what your system presents that day.

This may include:

  • nervous system tracking

  • awareness of sensation and breath

  • gentle movement or positioning

  • stillness and integration

  • moments of tremoring when appropriate

The focus is not on doing more, but on listening more deeply.

Working with the nervous system

When the nervous system begins to feel safer, it may naturally shift out of long-held patterns of bracing or protection.

In some sessions, I may draw from Trauma Release Therapy® (TRT), a body-based approach that works with the body’s natural tremoring response.

This tremoring mechanism is a built-in function of the nervous system that can help discharge excess activation when the system feels safe enough to do so.

Tremors are never forced.
They arise only when your body chooses them as an appropriate response.

At all times, we stay within your window of tolerance, respecting boundaries, choice, and nervous system capacity.

Why this work matters for creatives

For artists and creatives, the nervous system plays a central role in expression.

When the system is overloaded or stuck in survival patterns, creativity can begin to feel effortful, blocked, or unsafe.

As regulation and capacity increase, many people notice:

  • more available energy

  • increased sense of presence and embodiment (in the studio and on stage)

  • reduced anxiety and overwhelm

  • greater emotional range and flow

  • deeper trust in the body

  • more freedom in voice, performance, and creative expression

This work supports creativity not by trying to “unlock” it, but by restoring the internal conditions in which creativity naturally emerges.

After a session

Every nervous system integrates differently.

You may experience a sense of ease, spaciousness, or connection.
You may also feel tired, tender, or more emotionally open for a while.

All of these responses are natural.

Integration continues in the hours and days following a session. You are invited to move slowly, rest when needed, and notice what unfolds without pressure to interpret or change it.

Who this work can support

Somatic Nervous System Therapy© can be supportive for:

  • nervous system overwhelm or chronic stress

  • burnout and fatigue

  • anxiety or restlessness

  • trauma recovery

  • sleep challenges

  • chronic tension, pain, or migraines

  • emotional regulation difficulties

  • creative blocks or performance anxiety

  • reconnection with the body and felt sense

You do not need to have a diagnosis or a specific “reason” to come.
Curiosity and a willingness to listen to your body is enough.

A space to listen

This work is an invitation to slow down, not to collapse, but to meet yourself with more honesty and care.

It is a space where protective patterns are not judged or pushed away, they are acknowledged for the role they once played.

Through presence, pacing, and attunement, the nervous system can gradually learn that safety is possible again, in the body, in expression, and in life.

For creatives, this is not only about healing.
It is about reclaiming aliveness, embodiment, and the freedom to create from a place of connection and safety, rather than survival.

Investment

Regulation and capacity unfold over time.

For this reason, sessions are offered as a three-session journey, allowing space for trust, integration, and continuity.

There is no quick fix when it comes to the nervous system.
Sustainable change happens in layers, at a pace the body can truly integrate.
